Puerto Escondido, Baja California Sur

This post shows some images from one of our favorite campsites EVER! Author John Steinbeck and Ed Ricketts visited Puerto Escondido in 1940 which inspired Steinbeck's classic novel, The Log From the Sea of Cortez.

Steinbeck called it a place of magic - I could not agree more. It has since been discovered, but when we were there, it was still relatively undiscovered. It is now open and renting slips. You can find out more of Puerto Escondido's history on the Marina Puerto Escondido's site.
